I definitely agree that social media has many positive and negative effects. What stood out to me was how you talked about twitter. I think that society looks at it in such a negative way when really, it is actually a positive thing if you use it correctly. I also agree with the fact that you said that people use social media in a negative way to say whatever they want and hide behind a computer screen while using Facebook or twitter. Social media would definitely be more of a positive thing if most people used it in the right way.
Hiding behind a computer screen and saying bad things about people is definitely a con of social media. I strongly agree with you when it comes to that. Like you said, people need to realize that they are talking to actually humans and saying things that could really damage others. It's getting to a point where we have had to pass laws about this type of bullying and it's sickening. However, I do agree that overall social media can be a good thing if it is used in a correct manner. Referring back to what you said about being able to see what's going on with your friends and around campus, I also find it to be one of many positive aspects of social media.
I agree with the fact that the social media is good for connecting with other people and even the college campus. A college being able to connect with the students through twitter is really cool because it is a great way for students to see what is going on around campus everyday and find out new activities. I definitely agree with your point about the negative side of the social media though. People are more cruel to others when they have a computer or phone to hide behind. A lot of people would never say in person what they say/post on twitter.
