I feel the same way! I hate when people post every single they eat that day on Instagram and I hate when all girls tweet about celebrity boys. I also think it's annoying when people fight on twitter as well. We basically have the same view on social media!
Had no idea about the Mike & Ike problem! But I totally agree about the way social media distorts (or ignores) the actual "importance" of events. Problem is that this distortion is user created, meaning people are more interested in talking about trivial stuff than "really important" stuff. How to change that???
